Julie Cropp Gareleck Announces Soon to Be Published Book

Julie Cropp Gareleck was featured on NBC Affiliate Atlanta and Company to highlight Junction Creative, a full-service marketing agency she founded in 2009, as well as to tease her new book that is set to be published in 2024.

Julie Cropp Gareleck is an experienced strategist, author, and founder of Junction Creative Solutions, where she works with global and growth stage brands on developing the right strategies to grow their business. She has been recognized as an experienced industry leader and featured in notable publications such as USA Today.

Julie discussed the upcoming publication of her first book, Dare to Become, From the Corner Booth to the Corner Office, chronicling her professional journey from waitressing at her parents’ restaurant to corporate environments, and the moment she decided to become an entrepreneur at the age of 30. Her book shares stories about what it takes to be successful in business, in an authentic, sometimes funny, and approachable format. Every chapter is earned knowledge from real life experiences, including the difficult decisions and uncomfortable conversations that shaped Julie’s approach to launching a thriving agency.

Starting a small business is an exercise in patience. There is no tool kit or business guide for entrepreneurs and business owners that will fully prepare someone for the journey. New and aspiring business owners will appreciate the themes covered in Dare to Become, from topics of adversity and accountability to generational differences in the workplace. Understanding the nuance of communication in the workplace, and the importance of detail and consistency, is one of many chapters about process. The anecdotes that Julie shares include actionable items for all business owners, offering guidance from a seasoned and pragmatic executive. These are stories that are foundational to growing a business, where there are no shortcuts and no quick fixes.

When asked “why now,” Julie recounts trying to find motivation as she entered her 13th year in business. “I was desperate to find a book that was relatable. I read all of the click bait books and epic stories of billionaires without finding the one thing I was looking for: comfort, comradery.” Gareleck said. “It’s often lonely at the top.  I started reading journals from the last 20 years, rereading the lessons that I had conquered and the challenges I had overcome. I started writing and six months later, I finished my first book.”
