A Year Later: Here’s What’s True & Here’s My Next Move

“Trust your instinct. And don’t ever stop moving forward. Be grateful for each stage of this business, whether it brings challenges or triumphs. It is in those moments, the rising and falling, that you evolve. You become a better entrepreneur and what I like to think is the best version of yourself.” Julie Cropp Gareleck, Dare to Become.

It’s hard to imagine after selling a successful business and publishing my first bestseller that I’d find myself paralyzed at the thought of starting over again.  The rise was such an amazing journey – and while I didn’t really “fall”,  it resembled this feeling when I found myself at the beginning again.  After spending days, weeks, and months questioning “what comes next,” I found myself evolving into the newest version of myself, an entrepreneur focused on a business that serves who I am most passionate about – people.

I am beyond excited to introduce Vera, a complete workforce intelligence system, AI powered, but human led.  Alongside my brilliant co-founder, Dr. Ghazaleh Samandari, Ph.D., we imagined a work environment where technology doesn’t just replace people – it empowers them. Rooted in  behavioral science, validated by data science, Vera is the only Human-Centered AI Framework built to empower organizations to harness the full potential of its data,  transforming insights into action and unlocking innovative growth opportunities for its greatest assets.

Vera isn’t just another AI agent – it’s a complete workforce intelligence system – from data ingestion to actionable intelligence.  We rely on  human – AI  – human intelligence to guide mid-size and enterprise clients through the difficult challenge of understanding what is true and to define the next move.

In these quiet months, Ghaz and I worked tirelessly (with an amazing team) to engineer an AI platform that is trained to understand the  behavioral context of humans in the workplace, carefully training the MLL to deliver targeted insights for every level of an organization, and proving the validity of our model in a pilot program with a telecommunications company.  And the results exceeded our expectations.  I won’t laden this post with the entire sales pitch….as I hate posts that start as reflection and end up with punchy sales lines.

What I will leave you with is what I’ve learned about the journey that brought me here.  What I know to be true:  our workforce is exhausted, nervous, defiant at times, yet hopeful.  As a business owner for 15 years, I watched it happen and did my best to provide a different workspace for my employees.  In my optimism, it is my hope that if Vera can provide leaders, managers, teams, and employees with relief in the long hours they dedicate to their work that they might leave those walls feeling lighter, happier, and ready to make their next move.

If you are curious about Vera, reach out and I’ll share more about this  journey.  And even if you aren’t, I appreciate the support as I move into this exciting space – ready to rise and evolve – again.
